Happy Monday Bombshells!Yesterday I had the sincere pleasure of attending yet another of Daisy Lewellyn’s fabulous Brooklyn brunches. Every month, Daisy invites a host of her industry insiders and friends to fellowship, eat, and chat at a BK hot spot! This month’s rendez-vous was at Vodou, a cozy café at 95 Halsey Street in Bed Stuy. Daisy’s friends always show up and show out, so I brought Fashion Bomb photographer Marta McAdams along to capture the moment:Celebrity hairstylist Nicola Augustine opted for bold red in a Calvin Klein dress and patterned Wolford wilderness tights. She’s actually holding a holiday hair extension and wig trunk show next Sunday; visit her website www.nicolaaugustinehair.com for more details!Fashion Bomb reader Amber looked comfy in a Forever 21 faux fur vest and Vince Camuto heels.Publicist Theo Perry looked absolutely dapper in a Burberry button down and bowtie.Theressa skewed smart in a colorblock sleeveless sheath from New York & Co.I appreciated George’s velvet blazer and printed tee.Makeup artist Camara Aunique Helps embraced a rocker chic vibe in a studded Forever 21 jacket and cap toe booties.Photographer Rayon Richards posed in a pair of Cassius glasses I must have!!Publicist Tunisia Wilson exuded cool in a leather sleeve jacket, red lips, and Ray Ban sunnies.I loved this young man’s Comme des Garcons Play emblem button down, playful cardigan, and red sneakers.Stylist Weyni Elder looked saucy in a Torn by Ronny Kobo Floral Pointelle Dress, a chunky Versace necklace, and Charlotte Olympia Lucinda booties. Not pictured: her fly mirrored gold Proenza Schouler PS11!I was a fan of this fly guy’s cool glasses and earth tones. And stylist Lolita bet on all black, incorporating textures like leather along with mongolian fur (I loved her DVF vest!)After taking pix of the fashionable crowd, I posed with the hostess with the mostess, Daisy herself, who looked vibrant in a Rachel Roy sculpted sheath dress (love!).As for me, I took inspiration from our What to Wear to Fashion Week post, and rocked an Emma Cook Printed Geogette Blouse I snagged on Cyber Monday, along with a Milly leather skirt (first worn here), and Valentino zebra rockstuds (first worn here). You might notice my hair is a little brighter! Yes, I went platinum, with the help of Sammy at Noel New York. To bless the season, I applied a bit of dark lipstick. I love Cyber by MAC!It was a fun time! What did you think of Real Style at #BKBS?Photos by Marta McAdams.

Hey!So I was out of town for the weekend, attending a friend’s graduation in Ohio, so Swagger took the reigns to find fly New York street style.Of course they found Brandon, who hails from Ohio, chilling by the Standard Hotel:The undoubtedly stopped him thanks to his spot on color coordinating. I personally love his purple shorts, purple piped cardigan, and lavender button down. What do you think? Does he have Swagger?See more at www.swaggernewyork.com.

We’re ending the week with AmiraVee from the DMV:She says, “[My name is] short for Amiraa Vainqueur.”“I’m from the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) area but I’ve been living in New York for a few years now.”“As far as a brief description of my style, hmmm …”” I can transform into many many looks.”” My style is based on how I am feeling that day but it would be a mixture of…”“… Sophistication meets sexy…”“… With a splash of edge, street chic…”“… sometimes daring…”“Yet always fearless.” “I hope you like.”You know what? I like this! You have a diverse selection of looks that aren’t run of the mill. Very creative and cool.See more of Amiravee on Instagram @Amiraavee.Thoughts? Previously we did a Beauty Verdict on Miss Kelly and back then the consensus seemed to be that while being so beautiful it hurts, Kelly Rowland’s wigs were a serious hindrance to her look. But then I spotted these pics yesterday on TheYBF.com and I personally L-O-V-E Kelly’s new ‘do. I think she got it right (as she has in other random recent pics I’ve seen). Gosh, and her skin is like the finest Godiva chocolate bar (or some super exclusive expensive chocolate only sold in Switzerland…to royalty…lol). So Fashion Bombshells, do you agree? Do you love Kelly’s new ‘do?!?~DaniellePsst, get her fashion look for less here:More Topshop…Source: Get Whit It

You guys have been pretty lukewarm with Bombshells as of late! Perhaps Katherine from New Jersey can pass your chic test:She says, “I believe my style is very versatile…”“… only because I get very bored with trends.”” My style is chic with an edge.”” I love colors, bold statements, structured pieces, and loose fitting pieces.”” When I open my closet doors there are no limits, no rules. It’s my little world that I create when I put pieces together!”Ok! I like a lot of what I see, though your all red and polka dotted outfits are my faves. So wish we could’ve seen a bit more, but I enjoyed your submission. What do you think? Fashion Bombshell of the Day is a feature showcasing the singular style of Fashion Bomb Readers. Atlanta-born designer Wes Gordon pulls from a number of inspirations for his glitzy Fall 2013 collection: chic Rolling Stones groupies, The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album and all of its showstopping fashion, and King’s Road in London. All make sense with his background as Gordon honed his sartorial skills at one of the world’s most prestigious fashion universities, Central Saint Martins. Though he only has a couple of years of collections under his belt, it is clear that Gordon is highly-skilled — not surprising considering he perfected his craft with the likes of Oscar de la Renta and Tom Ford. His latest offerings hold nothing back with loads of texture, glamour, and rich shades, making standing out mandatory for the season. The Sgt. Pepper influence can be felt immediately with striped suiting, an eye-catching yellow band jacket, and a high-neck open style with an antique brooch closure and bell sleeves — reminiscent of Alexander McQueen. Gordon eschews the old notion of Fall neutrals with brights from marigold to hot pink.Prints play on floor-length skirts and pin dot satin trousers. The collection is one of the most lavish yet, with a roomy brocade smoking jacket elegantly hanging off a model’s shoulders, an off-the-shoulder gold bustle top paired with leather flare trousers, a rocker chic bronze suit, sparkling embellished trousers that are impossible to miss, and more. Fur anyone? It makes a statement on the hem of a shawl-collar single breasted coat and leather pencil skirt, as well as around the necks and wrists of a slew of pieces: adding autumnal warmth, but most importantly glamour. Red carpet-ready wear is on high and I am sure that Gordon fans including Kerry Washington and Rita Ora will find enough looks to strut in. How can any stylish woman resist a long-sleeve black and gold sheer lace top with a floor-length train for an added dose of glamour? I hope one of these ladies is bold enough to sport it in the coming months.
